The future of Terminal Automation starts - NOW
With the attendance of numerous delegates from almost all domestic major oil and gas companies and the Royal Army we held our first 2 day summit in Morocco. During the first day our specialists gave a detailled overview about the current status of the State of the Art Terminal Management and future planned developments. From compact metering skids with superb accuracy and reliabilty to flexible and transparent flow computing systems, from single Terminal Automation to cloud based networks with integrated smart devices - all aspects of modern technology had been explained and discussed with the auditory. The second day was dedicated to workgroup discussions to talk in detail about pending and future projects.
We thank all our participants for this memorable event.
If you would also like to know more details about our technologies and solutions, just send us an email to email@example.com or join us at the upcomming STOCEXPO Europe exhibition in Rotterdam.
M+F delivers 18 Metering Skids at Misr Petroleum in Egypt
In 2015, Misr Petroleum took the decision to establish new Petroleum depot. Together with Petrojet as the main EPC, they started to design the new terminal for 18 skids in Badr City, based on state-of-the-art technologies, replacing old flow measuring technology Positive Displacement with Coriolis Mass Flow measurement, implementing advanced flow computers, and complete terminal automation. After having many companies bidding, M+F Technologies GmbH was awarded this project in February 2016. M+F is a German based solution provider specialized in offering complete systems for loading stations and metering systems. They have more than 30 years of experience delivering loading solutions all over the world and more than 18,000 installation of its flow computer MFX_4. At the core of any metering system is the flow meter. M+F chose the Coriolis Mass flow meter OPTIMASS 6400 from KROHNE Messtechnik GmbH because KROHNE has tremendous experience in manufacturing Coriolis flow meters since the 80s, one of the very few companies that can meet the challenging requirement of liquid flow accuracy (±0.05% of measured value) and repeatability, and with competitive price. Through international cooperation between M+F and KROHNE, IAC (M+F representative in Egypt) and RMS Engineering (KROHNE representative in Egypt), a special tailored system was developed. The 18 skids were constructed in Hamburg, Germany. Factory acceptance test was held on July 2016 testing the system under different non-ideal situations. Overall uncertainty of the system was even better than the requested uncertainty in Misr Petroleum tender. The 18 metering systems are currently installed at Misr Petroleum new terminal in Badr. Petrojet is finishing other site construction and it is expected that terminals will be into operation by mid of 2017.
